About Us

Overview of TACAS

TACAS is a not-for-profit organization established in 2022, with full registration achieved in 2024. Funded by member subscriptions, TACAS operates under the governance of its members, supported by a dedicated full-time Secretariat that manages the Association’s affairs.

With over 1,200 members in the logistics and supply chain sector, primarily freight forwarders, TACAS provides a platform for collaboration and excellence in service delivery across various transport modes, including air, road, sea, and rail. Many members also offer customs clearance and cross-border services.

Objectives

The general objective of TACAS is to enhance collaboration among
stakeholders in cargo clearance and freight logistics to ensure efficient, quality service provision. Specific objectives include:

Promoting the interests of cargo clearing companies and the freight forwarding industry.
Coordinating professional ethics within the industry.
Liaising with the government for favorable laws supporting local firms.
Establishing educational institutions for member training.
Promoting partnerships with regulators and other stakeholders.
Ensuring compliance with government laws and efficient revenue collection.
Publishing research and statistical materials for member benefit.
